Today, Bombardier Aviation is an aerospace and rail behemoth with a slew of highly regarded business aircraft, including the big cabin-class Global 8000, a stunning business jet with global capabilities for up to 19 pampered guests.
Global 8000 is an ultra-long-range high-speed business aircraft developed by Bombardier Aerospace which entered service in 2017. The final assembly of the aircraft began in September 2011 at Bombardier’s Toronto manufacturing site in Canada. The aft fuselage of the plane is being built at Bombardier’s Queretaro site in Mexico.
Meggitt was awarded a contract to provide fire protection systems for the Global 8000 aircraft in March 2012. GKN Aerospace is providing composite winglets and ailerons for the aircraft under a contract awarded in August 2012. The winglets are being produced at GKN’s production center in Isle of Wight, UK, while the ailerons are produced at GKN’s facility in Munich, Germany.

The Global 8000 business aircraft delivers a more versatile, pleasant, and light-filled living space than any other three-zone cabin in business aviation, thanks to a design philosophy centered on customer demands and the total trip experience. The Global 8000 business jet provides more excellent room, comfort, and elegance to our clients than any other aircraft in its class. The Global 8000 aircraft was intended to fit the customer’s lifestyle, and while it performs best with eight passengers, it can comfortably carry up to 19 people.
The window design of the airplane optimizes natural light at all seating places and gives much-increased viewing angles and viewing range, whether sitting or standing.
